Love me some Shanty! Tastiest chicken strips in North Idaho - perfectly seasoned fries and great variety of dipping sauces. All for a very reasonable cost.

Went through the drive through and ordered the Nashville chicken sandwich with fries. She said they didn't have the Nashville sauce but had another sauce that was similar. I said cool. Got ranch in the side. The total bill was like $13 which is cheap by today's standards. And the food came out super quick. (Less than 3 minutes.) Got back to the office to eat it and it looked picturesque. I'm mad I didn't take a picture but idgaf about that stuff. The fries were perfect and the sandwich was bomb.com. And the drive through lady was nice. Maybe a little too spicy (like 3.5/5). I'm more of like a 2-3 on the scale. But it could've been the different sauce. Still perfect lunch wouldn't have changed anything.

First time to the Chicken Shanty and the customer service was fantastic! Good portions for price was great! The three types of chicken were pretty much the same but all the different sauce selections were a bonus.

*deep, announcing voice bellows*: YUMMMYYY. For drink I chose to try the Prickly Pear Lemonade, which was wonderful and refreshing on the cool evening. Every sandwich on the menue was presented well and very compelling, and after an amount of deliberation I elected to attempt the "Mr. Crabs" sandwich. This sandwich brought to mind wonderful reminders of a crab rangoon, with crispy coconut fried chicken and cream cheese sauce. This sandwich is a unregretable choice of which I highly suggest you partake in. The helping of fries, pleasingly fried with not too much salt, were granted in large proportions such that I have some to share with breakfast tomorrow. The service was reasonably quick and the staff were polite and happy to give their recommendations of their favorite items on the menue. Regrettably, as the hour was late, we did not eat in, however, but took our sandwiches home.

Just ordered 15 bone-in wings, very good flavor on their own, sauces were fine. Nice dry wing, sauces separate! Perfectly fried! Came fast at prime time dinner hour. A couple of my suggestions would be to add some carrots and maybe more than two 4" celery sticks that were a little questionable. The size of 1/2 of my wings were very small and inconsistent with the others? I will be ordering again for sure! Wraps and Sandwiches look amazing! I'm just a wing guy! Thanks for being there!!!

HOT CHICKEN! LET ME SAY THAT AGAIN! HONESTY TO GOD HOT CHICKEN! Look, as much as I love my hometown, we all know that the northern climes are somewhat... spice averse. When people say that their food is spicy, I always have to ask "So is it really spicy or is it "Idaho" spicy?" I picked up the hot chicken basket from here, brought it back to my lunch spot at work, and tucked in. ER. MAH. GERD. I was sweating from the top of my head. The chicken was hot but flavorful. Crispy and juicy. And then I found the spicy honey and added that on top. I don't know if I lost consciousness from the sheer joy of it, or if the capsaicin finally caused me to lose my eyesight for a second. I didn't care. It was heaven. It was like stumbling into some unknown chicken joint in Nashville and discovering what real flavor was actually like. And their fries? They're battered somehow, with this crispy coating over the fry itself. I ate the entire thing, and even though I was full I wanted to go back and get another one. This place is dangerous.

Really liked the Coconut chicken tenders! It was very juicy and tender with a nice crunchy coconut crust. The regular tender was good too, but the hot/spicy tender was not to my liking. Fries were nice, hot & crispy. They have a great variety of sauces and drinks too! The pink soda drink is Starry with prickly cactus, which I liked. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and I'd like to try some of the sandwiches too.
